The PNAMC is the premiere association for Filipino American nurses in Maryland.
Mission
The mission of the PNAMD shall be to provide an organization that will uphold the image and foster the welfare of Filipino American nurses in the State of Maryland as a professional group.
Strategic Goals
- PNAMC will be the resource for education, nursing practice and research for Filipino- American nurses.
- Provide educational programs to leaders and members using evidence-based practice.
- Survey PNAMC BOD and Chairs opportunities for organizational advancement as well as educational needs of nurses.
- Utilize evidence-based practice to support standards and position statements.
- Explore the opportunity of sponsoring PNAA Annual Conference in Baltimore, Maryland.
- Promote Hermie Nudo Lectureship Award
- Implement leadership mentoring for each committee chairs and novice to expert nurses.
- Explore educational seminar for statewide nursing recruiters and nursing leaders.
- PNAMC will be the voice and source of Filipino-American nurses information to public.
- Represent PNAMC at the Md. Nurses Association.
- Review and support legislations that benefits safe and quality patient care and professional nursing.
- Promote and disseminate best practices of Filipino-American nurses.
- Disseminate and support national issues of Filipino nurses in the Philippines.
- Develop PNAMC newsletter and further development of pnamd.org website
- Collaborative relationships with the Council of Deans of the Philippines.
- PNAMC will be the link to the community outreach activities.
- Explore the possibility of organizing a health care mission in the Philippines.
- Identify and implement a community outreach for the poor in Baltimore, Md
- Distribute health brochures to community during the Filipino-American Fiesta
- Financially support the mission of the poor in the Philippines, i.e. Victims of flood, homeless.
- Define criteria for the Bagunbayan Fund for global activities.
