Business Office Manager (FINANCE) – TESST College of Technology, Baltimore Campus
Kaplan Higher Education This is an exciting position if you thrive in a environment that believes in “building futures one success story at a time.“ TESST College of Technology, Baltimore Campus is currently seeking a Business Office Manager to support our accounting, business office, and human resource functions. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining all student account information including student cash and third-party payment so that revenue is accurate and cash collection is maximized. You will also be responsible for managing all business accounts and systems including accounts payable, monthly billing, accounts receivable, payroll and collections. Duties Ø Foster an informative, efficient, friendly and student-centered business office environment. Ø Supervises office activities to achieve maximum expense control and productivity. Ø Responsible for the direction and coordination of several business office operations. Ø Develops procedures and policies for office activities and supply orders. Ø Responsible for all activities in the accounts receivable function. Manages collection activities such as sending follow-up inquiries, negotiating with past due accounts, and referring accounts to collection agencies. Ø Responsible for all activities in the accounts payable function. Ensures timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers and maintains accurate records and control reports. Ø Review applicable accounting reports and accounts payable register to ensure accuracy. Ø Responsible for calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain and record financial data for use in maintaining accounting and statistical records. Ø Responsible for managing cash collections and deposits. Ø Directs and coordinates administrative services, which may include office clerical and support services, printing, mail distribution and messenger services, telecommunications, maintenance, purchasing. Ø Monitors employee payroll, time and labor system. Ø Responsible for overseeing all contracts and relationships with external service providers and entities. Ø Responsible for communication to corporate accounting office including assistance with month-end close. Ø Participate in daily/weekly accountability meetings. Ø Oversee procedures to ensure compliance with Federal, KHEC and state policies. Ø Timely completion and submission of required reports. Ø Other duties as assigned. Requirements:
Ø Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting Ø Strong background in an office setting performing A/R, A/P, Collections and HR functions Ø Ability to multi-task in a high-demand environment Ø Highly organized, detailed-oriented, and consistently display high levels of integrity.
