The Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist will be responsible for providing activities that promote: 1) positive clinical outcomes, 2) professional staff development, 3) incorporation of research into practice, 4) provide consultation for care issues throughout the institution specific to his/her expertise The Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist works in conjunction with the Nurse Director to ensure the effective operation of the ICU/CCU/IMC & Telemetry units.

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE:

Must possess a current, active Maryland RN License. Must possess 3 years experience and certification, both in the clinical area of expertise. Must possess a Master's Degree as a Clinical Nurse Specialist or a related field OR Be actively pursuing (within 9 credits of completion) a Master's Degree as a Clinical Nurse Specialist or a related field , AND have at least one additional year of experience within the specialty. Must possess certification in area of speciality.
