The MRI Technologist, using high technical skills, performs all MRI scans, routine and non-routine on infants, children, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. S/He conducts all pre and post activities associated with each exam.

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE:

Must possess a degree in Radiologic Technology. Must be a licensed and registered MRI Technologist in the state of Maryland. Must have at least (1) year of experience in MR imaging. Must be CPR certified. Must pass all competencies as established for the MRI department.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to read, write and speak the English language. Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Possess the ability to communicate and deal tactfully with personnel,visitors, customers, patients and the general public. Must be knowledgeable in safety rules, and regulations, procedures and guidelines. Must possess a cheerful personality and to be able to work harmoniously with other personnel in the department and through-out the hospital. Must possess the ability to minimize waste of supplies, misuse of equipment etc. Must be able to work independently. Must be knowledgeable in the use of computers.
