Jobing Description
Under the direction and supervision of the Accounting Manager, responsible for the timely and accurate processing of bi-weekly payrolls though an outside payroll processing service (currently ADP). Calculates and processes remittance of payroll deductions, travel advances, and employee expense reimbursements. Prepares reports from payroll system utilizing Microsoft Excel. Supports accounts payable and receipts functions and performs other accounting duties as directed.

Skills / Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and four years related experience. Requires excellent math, spreadsheet, organizational and computer skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook applications. Must possess a sound understanding and working knowledge of financial accounting principals, procedures and record keeping requirements. Must possess or acquire proficiency in the organization’s accounting software package – currently AccuFund. Must possess or acquire proficiency using the organization’s outside payroll processing system, including report writers, currently ADP. Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as an integral member of a team in a collaborative work environment. Excellent customer service skills are mandatory.

Special skills and talents required for this job include: the ability to work to deadlines, the ability to accurately enter data, the ability to prioritize work and strictly adhere to proscribed schedules, procedures and controls. Must strictly maintain complete confidentially of payroll and employee personal information. Must be able to understand, produce and verify spreadsheet reports. Must be available to work evenings and/or weekends if required.
