Plant Operations

Full time 80 (Two week Payperiod)


Pay Grade 055 (Minimum hourly rate $23.20/hr)


The Carpenter/Locksmith performs skilled level duties in two areas. As a carpenter, duties include performing skilled carpentry work and repairing, altering and constructing wooden, metal and masonry structures. Knowledge in millwork fabrication, installation and repairing.

Locksmith duties include maintaining records, and updating, repairing, installing, re-pinning, and opening a wide variety of locking equipment with various sizes, functions and applications. Orders, maintains, and inventories: supplies, equipment, and necessary tools to complete all key, lock, core, electro-mechanical, mechanical, door closures, panic hardware systems and other type locking devices throughout all Bayhealth's facilities. In addition, recommends appropriate equipment to vendors and contractors for new and renovated facilities as well as maintains a Bayhealth's master key system to establish a hierarchy of access.

Minimum Education and Experience:




High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification

Trade coursework


5 years Locksmith experience.

5 years plus of skilled Carpentry experience in construction, home improvement & commercial remolding.

7 years locksmith experience.

7 years carpenter experience.

Computer/Software Knowledge:

Basic Computer literacy, basic skills in Word, or similar software

Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Key Wizard or other Keying Software.


Due to insurance carrier requirements, all staff must be at least 21 years of age with a current class D driver's license with no more than 3 moving violations or accidents in the past 3 years.
Locksmith License or Certification (RL, CRL, CPL, CML through the Associated Locksmiths of America (
