Bayhealth is Central and Southern Delaware's largest health care system, Bayhealth is comprised of Kent General and Milford Memorial hospitals, the freestanding Emergency Department in Smyrna as well as numerous satellite facilities and employed physician practices encompassing a variety of specialties.

Reporting to the Department's Sr. Director, manages personnel, finances, programs, policies and procedures to efficiently and effectively operate and maintain Bayhealth's facilities. Develops and implements maintenance and energy management programs to maintain the physical structures, central plant, utility systems, mechanical and electrical systems, HVAC, and grounds in a safe, reliable and operative working condition. Works closely with the Department Director to: establish goals, objectives, and standards of performance; develop and implement operating policies and procedures; and interpret and apply standards, regulations, and codes. Is fully versed in Joint Commission Environment of Care standards, NFPA standards including the Life Safety Code, EPA, DNREC, OSHA and other regulations as they relate to the compliant operation of modern health care facilities. Develops and leads processes and activities to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. Coordinates assigned facility maintenance and operating activities with other divisions, departments, and outside agencies. Provides highly responsible and complex administrative management support under the direction of the Department's Senior Director.

Requires a Bachelors degree and at least seven (7) years maintenance, repair and plant operations experience including three (3) or more years of related experience in a supervisor role within a multi-site health system or industrial complex. Requires intermediate knowledge in the implementation and use of computerized maintenance management systems; computerized building automation systems, and Microsoft office applications. Must have a valid drivers license, EPA refrigerant transition and recovery certification or ability to attain within six (6) months of hire.
