6B is an Acuity Adaptable 24 bed Telemetry Nursing unit that serves Medical Surgical patients with a Cardio/Pulmonary focus at the Bayhealth Sussex Campus, a new, state-of-the-art facility in Milford, DE. Our technologically advanced setting offers an EPIC electronic health record, bedside charting and bedside medication stations in all private rooms. There are 6 nursing pods to bring patient care as close to bedside as possible in keeping with our Planetree philosophy. Bayhealth is Magnet recognized and Nursing staff on 6B are actively engaged in Shared Governance and self-scheduling. Staff are supported by an Onboarding Specialist as well as Clinical Nurse Specialists, a Nursing residency for new graduates is also available.

General Summary

The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care to patients within a assigned unit with a commitment to quality and safety. Professional nursing practices, requiring specialized knowledge judgment and skill are performed using the process in accordance with hospital policy, procedures and nursing philosophy.

Minimum Education and Experience

	Minimum	Preferred
Education:	*Associate Degree /Graduate of an accredited nursing program/university *Must commit to a BSN within timeframe as indicated upon interview	BSN
Experience:	Must have 1 year of RN experience or completed all Bayhealth Novice RN competencies	1 year experience in relevant specialty
Computer/Software Knowledge:	Computer literacy with experience in electronic documentation	Experience with EPIC HER documentation
Licensure/Certification	Current DE RN licensure or eligibility to obtain prior to job offer BLS required *ACLS / PALS may be required per manager's direction and timeframe *Commit to seeking specialty certification within time frame as indicated during interview	Nursing certification in relevant specialty
