Class Description

THIS IS A NON-CIVIL SERVICE POSITION

The Baltimore City Department of Finance is seeking a self-motivated person with excellent verbal, analytical, computational and writing skills that will enable them to identify and research potential tax fraud, facilitate the accurate processing of tax credits, manage PILOT Agreements, and evaluate City government revenues and taxes. The person must be able to read and understand complex property tax contracts. The applicant will analyze our "Payment in Lieu of Taxes (PILOT) contracts and manage the City PILOT System. The analyst will serve in the Fiscal Integrity Office in the Department of Finance.

Minimum Education and Experience
 
This position requires a Master's Degree from an accredited College or University with advanced coursework in finance, accounting, public policy analysis, business administration, business process reengineering, real estate or law. At least four years of experience in one of these or a related field is preferred. The successful candidate will have strong skills in Word and Excel. Applicants with the above qualifications are encouraged to apply.
GIS and Python experience will be a plus.

Equivalencies

A bachelor's degree including advanced courses in quantitative methods and two years of additional experience may be substituted for the master's degree.

Job Type: Full-time Required

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience (Range $62,000- $99,200)
