Delaware State University (DSU) invites applications for a tenure track Assistant/Associate Professor position beginning in August 2019. The tenure home for this position is the Department of Biological Sciences and preferred applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Cell Biology and / or immunology, or a related field. Applicants must have a background appropriate for successful teaching and mentorship for B.S. and M.S. degree programs within the Department of Biological Sciences, and experience with teaching diverse populations is preferred.
Primary teaching responsibilities include teaching Cell Biology and Immunology undergraduate biology courses, along with courses related to the faculty member’s area of expertise. College expectations include mentoring students, teaching general education courses as needed and establishing an undergraduate and graduate research program supported by external funding. Applicants at a senior level must have a record of research excellence, a history of external funding, and a strong record of mentoring students.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Women and minorities are encouraged to apply.
