    Scope of the Position

    Primary responsibility is to work with Design, Project Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Quality Engineers to develop equipment for prototype or production needs. Troubleshoot current manufacturing problems and help root cause by performing the following duties.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned by your supervisor.

    Works with Design, Project Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Quality Engineers to develop a manufacturable product.

    Recommends and completes the purchase or build of secondary tooling fixtures or equipment with appropriate vendor, and ensures production readiness thru qualifications and capability runs.

    Assists with development and implementation of automated assembly systems to produce products utilizing various technologies including robotics.

    Assists in preproduction build events.

    Support cost and timing thru launch and the process change system.

    Attends meetings related to product development, product manufacturing concerns and all company related issues.

    Verify/Assist in training of operators on new equipment/processes.

    Manage issues related to equipment with an open issues list.

    Support Product Engineering in DFM.

    Develop prints/BOM’s for secondary equipment for in-house builds.

    Verify that PM instructions are complete and available.

    Verify that all tooling is complete and there are no pending changes that would jeopardize the Launch Ramp Plan.

    Investigate Engineering Change Feasibility with secondary processes and associated tooling.

    Supports and assists company skilled tradesman, engineers and management in resolving production related issues.

    Maintains Ventra GR5 Equipment Standards

    Generates corrective and preventive action plans as required.

    Communicates procedures and work practices.

    Supports development of objectives and targets.

    Accepts and performs special projects as required.

    Must be flexible for change and be able to work well under deadlines and manage multiple priorities.

    Uses Help Chain as needed.

    Discusses work-place issues with all associates in a respectful manner looking for positive solutions.

    Responsible for maintaining 5S standards as they relate to housekeeping in assigned work area.

    Maintains compliance to company policies, work rules, safety & housekeeping standards.

    Follow ISO 14001 and TS 16949 Requirements per the standard

    Bachelor’s degree in a field of Engineering or a related field preferred but experience in lieu of degree will be considered. Three - five years experience in manufacturing technology required.


    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, equipment manuals, technical reports and various documents related to performing duties. Ability to communicate effectively with all company associates, vendors and customers. Ability to generate or write various manufacturing procedures, documents and forms. Ability to effectively present information to top management, subordinates and co-workers.


    Computer literate in various windows programs.

    Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

    Ability to train others effectively in technical skills.

    Ability to manage personal stress during potential varying workloads.

    The associate is regularly required to work safely and be in all areas of the plant that involve the manufacturing and processing to completion of a molded plastic product. Associate will often lift medium to heavy items, assembly products using hand or power tools and work safely around all types of hazards including but not limited to robotic systems, various air and vacuum pressures, fumes, chemicals and energy elements. Associate will hear, sit and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; also often required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. Associate will often be required to view and understand items ranging from small print to large or wide-ranging viewing fields. Lifting or moving objects of up to 29 pounds is possible; heavier objects will be moved with assistance from other employees or equipment.


    While performing the duties of this job, the associate often works near and around moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.

    Works often in both an office and the shop floor.

    The noise level in the work environment is quiet when in the office but noisy when working on the production floor.
