Responsibilities:
  • Support global Power Tool & Equipment (PTE) advanced lean manufacturing engineering processes development to sustain on-going productivities & global competitive advantages.
  • Work with PTE plants’ mfg process engineers on EXISTING mfg processes’ continuous improvement, renovation & innovation with advanced lean automation mfg process technologies. 
  • Support PTE design engineers on NEW power tool & equipment products’ design/development with robust Design for Manufacturability (DFM), and work with plants’ mfg process engineers to develop advanced lean automation mfg processes for production.
  • Implement advanced lean manufacturing process technologies at global PTE plants in supporting Vertical Integration/Prime/Localization mfg strategies with sound financial payback (i.e. < 2-year).
  • Work with global PTE plants’ Mfg/Quality/Production/Maintenance engineers & global automation machine builders/system integrators to develop1-pcs-flow lean cellular automation manufacturing system with Poka-Yoke, in-process quality control & Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) systems to assure high performance Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE).
  • Support Global AME teams in exploring diversified low-cost professional automation mfg process equipment/ machinery builders & system integrators in supporting PTE advanced mfg applications.
  • Willingness to travel domestically & internationally (estimate 25+% annually) in working with global HTS&A manufacturing plants & professional automation system integrators/suppliers.
 
 
Qualification:
  • Minimum BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing or EE/Electronic Engineering related or equivalent Degree.
  • 3+ years of hands-on in-depth experiences of one or more manufacturing processes (i.e. CNC machining, brazing/ soldering/TIG/MIG/laser/resistance welding, injection molding, laser cutting/marking, pad/screen/transfer/inkjet printing, heat treatment, plating/coating/painting, assembly, packaging...etc.) and jig/fixture/gaging/work-holding/tooling/tester design/development experiences at high volume component and assembly production environment.
  • 3+ years of experience in high-volume 1-pcs flow automation manufacturing processes development & management (i.e. IPC/PLC/HMI/labview/C++…automation programming, robotic, 2D/3D vision, diversified npn/pnp sensors, ADC/DAC, data acquisition, pneumatic, hydraulic, servo/linear motor, close-loop control, diversified automation part feeding/loading/unloading/storage mechanism & systems..).
  • Good DFM & GD&T/jig/fixture/gaging/metrology knowledge & experiences.
  • Good understanding of Mfg process costing, ERP (SAP preferred) & financial discounted cash flow analysis.
  • 3+ years of global cross-function technical mfg project management.
  • Proven records of lean 6-sigma practices (DMAIC, GRR, CP/CPk, SPC, DOE) on mfg process improvement & trouble-shooting & optimization.
  • Proactive multiple project management in an organized professional manner in given time constraints.
  • High Integrity, Good work Ethic with self-motivated & positive can-do attitude.
